Garnett, Walker Get Into Scuffle After Celtics Loss To Knicks
BOSTON (CBS) - Former Celtic Bill Walker was not pleased with Kevin Garnett after the Celtics lost to the Knicks 106-104 on Sunday afternoon.
Minutes after Garnett missed a shot that would have tied the game, the veteran exchanged words with Walker, who was traded to the Knicks in 2009.
Then, Garnett was seen on camera striking Walker's neck before the two had to be separated. Garnett did not speak about the incident after the game.
Walker, though, did, according to CSNNE.com's A. Sherrod Blakely.
"I'm a grown-up. You put your hands on my face, what part of the game is that? You know what the man does . . . Would you want me to put my hands on your face and push you away? I'm a man at the end of the day. It's disrespectful. You should not do that to any man," Walker said after the game.
Garnett could face league discipline.
The Celtics next play on Tuesday night against the Heat in Miami.
