Gammons On Toucher & Rich: Uehara's Streak Was 'Incredible'
After sweeping the Yankees over the weekend, the Red Sox dropped their first of three to the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night at Fenway Park. Despite the loss, Boston's magic number to clinch the AL East dropped to three when Tampa Bay lost to Texas 7-1.
Koji Uehara had retired his previous 37 hitters, but that streak was ended when he allowed a triple to Baltimore's Danny Valencia to lead off the inning. Pinch-runner Alexi Casila would score on Matt Wieters' sac-fly to put Baltimore on top 3-2.
Red Sox insider Peter Gammons joined Toucher & Rich to discuss the Sox, Uehara's great string of performances and the coming post season.
What team would Gammons least like to see the Sox have to play? Are there rookies who won't make the playoff roster?
