Gammons On Toucher & Rich: Can Sox Starters Continue Successful Performances?
Toucher & Rich were joined by Red Sox insider Peter Gammons this morning and they started off talking about the tragic event of Marathon Monday in Boston and when sports becomes an important part of helping people heal.
Gammons remembered what it was like at Game 3 of the 2001 World Series in New York City after the September 11th attacks. He recalled the atmosphere at the stadium and how having these events show the individual or individuals responsible that we will not be afraid to live. Tonight's Bruins game against the Sabres at the Garden will be Boston's first chance at gathering for a large event since Monday.
The guys then took some time to discuss the start the Red Sox pitchers are putting together this season. In all 13 games so far this season none of the starters have given up more than three earned runs, which hasn't happened in the American League since 1990 with the Milwaukee Brewers. Can the Sox pitchers continue this run of success?
