Gammons On Felger & Mazz: The Future Of Daniel Bard, Cano PED Rumors
Peter Gammons of MLB.com joined Felger and Massarotti to discuss the future role of Daniel Bard, a potential PED suspension for New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano, and the new Wild Card format.
Who is to blame for Daniel Bard's struggles? Can Bard return back to his form when he was in the bullpen? What could Bard's role be next season?
"Well he's gone from where he was in 2007 and come back."
"He needs to step away and stop thinking about things. When he starts throwing again, just concentrate. As they say, 'dumbing down procedure.'"
Also, could New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano be heading towards a suspension for performance enhancing drugs?
"I heard something about it about three weeks ago and like a lot of things, I never gotten any confirmation. Now people are very careful letting any information out, so I mean these things do circulate. The one that turned out to be true, but again I could never get confirmation and I was told by about six sources for five weeks was Melky Cabrera. I'm not sold on the Cano thing yet, especially because the Scott Boras clients are very careful."
With the Wild Card races going the way they are, why is the interest in those cities so low?
