Game Of Jones Over/Under: 2.5 Touchdowns Thrown By Luck vs. Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) - It was an Over/Under Tuesday night on The Adam Jones Show's "Game of Jones."
In this latest edition, Adam Jones gives his take on the following topics:
- Over/Under touchdown passes for Andrew Luck vs. Patriots: 2.5
"I think the Patriots are going to go in there and win; I don't know if it they win in convincing fashion or run away with it like they did with Denver. But I think if they can keep Peyton Manning in check, they can keep Andrew Luck in check," said Jones. "He's been an elite quarterback this year... but I don't think he throws more than two touchdowns this week."
- Over/Under years on Jon Lester's next contract: 5.5
"Over," said Jones. "I see teams throwing big money at him, I see teams throwing years at him. Lesser pitchers have gotten five years -- I mean, Lackey got five years coming to Boston. Lester is going to get paid; six-years and $120 million isn't going to get it done."
- Over/Under starts by Nick Foles the rest of the year: 1
"I read that Chip Kelly and the Eagles staff had already soured on Foles before the injury, so I don't think they go back to him," said Jones. "Unless [Mark] Sanchez goes out there and is a complete disaster, which I don't think he'll be with Chip Kelly. I trust Kelly and that operation."
- Over/Under touchdown catches the rest of the season for Brandon LaFell: 4.5
"I'm going under," said Jones. "If [Rob Gronkowski] stays healthy and is the red zone guy he's the touchdown option, so give me the under on touchdowns for LaFell."
- Over/Under number of SEC teams in the College Football playoff: 1.5
"Over, and here's a question for you: Over/Under the millions of millions of whiny babies when the SEC two teams get in who scream 'SEC bias'?" asked Jones. "If there is an SEC bias, it is because they are far and away the best conference in college football."
