Frosty Mornings...

A couple of waves of rain will move through tonight as strong coldfront works through New England.  The first wave is passing now with just some very light rain during the evening...the second will be late tonight and a few of the showers may be briefly heavy.  The rain isn't the big deal with this front but the colder air and wind is.  Wind will be quite strong tomorrow...sustained 20-25mph with frequent gusts to 35mph and maybe one or two as high as 40mph.  The air will also be unstable enough for fair weather cumulus clouds to form.  Temps will reach the upper 50s but when in the shade and with the wind it will feel much chillier.

Good news for the weekend now, all storms will be suppressed to our south and we stay dry for both weekend days.  I said dry, but I didn't say warm...Freeze Watches have already been issued by the National Weather Service due to subfreezing temps on Saturday morning and the same will likely be needed for Sunday and Monday morning too.  Hopefully you didn't get too overzealous and start planting the Summer annuals like tomatoes, cukes, peppers etc.  If you did you will need to cover them up.  With the small seedlings, cut off the bottom of a 2 liter bottle and use that as a cover...works really well!
