Frost Warnings, Record High Temperatures In Forecast
BOSTON (CBS) - Summer is going to take one final run at New England and the timing couldn't be better.
Just take a look at the 7-day forecast and you might think that there was some kind of computer glitch.

Total sunshine day-after-day-after-day and temperatures which resemble a mid-June or July forecast.
This type of weather on Columbus Day weekend literally only comes around once in a lifetime! Just take a look at the forecast for Sunday, 85 degrees.
If this were to occur, it would beat the old record high for that date by 3 degrees (prior record in Boston was 82 back in 1942).
The contrasts this time of year can be stunning.
Where else can you have frost and freeze warnings one day and record high temperatures just a few days later?
That will be the case over the next 48-to-72 hours in southern New England.
Thursday morning's low temperature in many of the suburbs fell into the 30s.
A few areas well to the north and west even briefly dipped below 32 (Keene, N.H. 30, Orange 30, Springfield 31, Jaffrey, N.H. 31).
These chilly readings will be even more prevalent on Friday morning.
A giant area of high pressure will settle over New England tonight and provide an ideal setup for maximum radiational cooling.
There will likely be widespread frost in the suburbs, especially north and west of Boston in the early hours of Friday morning.
Be sure to cover or take in any tender vegetation this evening.
Temperatures will rebound quickly though and highs on Friday afternoon will peak in the mid-60s.
The real surge of warmth arrives on the weekend.
We are forecasting 75-to-80 degrees on Saturday and mid 80's on Sunday.

The summer-like stretch doesn't stop there as highs will reach near 80 again on Monday and Tuesday!
