FriendshipWorks: Offering Free Help for Elders

FriendshipWorks is a non-profit organization with a network of trained volunteers that provide support and assistance to elders. They accompany them to medical appointments; provide companionship and other support along the way. With an estimated 62,000 elders living in Boston and more than 22,000 currently living alone, this program is much needed. On this edition of Centro, we tell learn about FriendshipWorks and a program they have specifically for Latino elders called La Cadena de Amistad. WBZ's Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks with the program's Director Lillyana Hebbert. Tune in!
