21-year-old Richard Morales Jr. and his 18-year-old brother Andrew got into a fight Sunday afternoon at their home on Berrington Road.
Police say Andrew stabbed his older brother in the chest.
Richard Morales was rushed to UMass Health Alliance Hospital and died a short time later.
Andrew Morales was charged with murder. He was arraigned Monday in a crowded courtroom in Leominster District Court and ordered held without bail. He was also sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for an evaluation.
His family called the incident a tragic accident.
"I feel I lost two grandsons," their grandfather Jesus Morales said.
"It's something that just happened spur of the moment, anger between two young fellows."
But, a friend of Andrew told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 that Andrew was relentlessly bullied by his older brother.
"A person can only take so much before they finally break down," said the friend named Mark, who wished to remain anonymous.
"It was like an everyday thing. There's not a day that he didn't call me or text me saying his brother was picking on him or getting him in trouble."
"Every time he talked to me about his brother it was always something bad, that his brother would always bully him and pick on him, get him in trouble all the time with his dad. I sort of figured he would snap one day, just not like this."

Another friend told WBZ she was shocked and that "Andrew wouldn't hurt a fly."
Andrew Morales was a student at Mount Wachusett Community College and worked part-time at Dunkin's Donuts.
