Framingham Man Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize Twice In 10 Months
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) -- A Framingham man has won his second $1 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery in a 10-month span.
Howard Rankin claimed his first million on November 12 of last year, after playing the "$2,500,000 Holiday Bonus" game.
His second winning ticket--purchased at the same Temple Street Stop & Shop as the first--was on a "100X The Cash" game.
That store will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Both prizes were won on $10 instant tickets.
Rankin picked the cash option, as he did on the first ticket--taking a one-time lump sum of $650,000 before tax.
A Lynn woman won her second $1 million prize in a seven-month span earlier this year.
