Teen Crashes SUV Into Living Room Of Foxboro Home

FOXBORO (CBS) – Residents escaped injury after a teenager crashed an SUV through the living room of a Foxboro home.

Foxboro firefighters were called to Cocasset Street just before 7 a.m. on Friday after a Chevy Tahoe being driven by a 16-year-old Wrentham boy sideswiped a house.

The vehicle didn't come to a rest until it hit a nearby car.

A couple that lives in the home had just woken up, but was uninjured.

"Nobody got hurt. The house can be repaired. The car can be repaired," homeowner Harry Weidman said.

The driver declined medical treatment.

Police said the driver has a license and was wearing a seat belt during the crash.

Impact from the crash destroyed the living room, which was set up for a Christmas gathering.

It is not yet clear what caused the SUV to hit the house. The driver does not currently face any charges.

The Foxboro building inspector said the house is currently uninhabitable.

According to Weidman, the teenager apologized for the crash. His parents picked him up from the scene.

The teen's family said they had no comment on Friday.
