Former Trooper Who Leaked Tsarnaev Photos Meets Supporter

BOSTON (CBS) --- The former State Trooper who leaked pictures of marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, has thanked one of his biggest supporters.

Lisa Beloff set up a Facebook page after State Police disciplined Sgt. Sean Murphy for leaking the images of Tsarnaev surrendering on that Watertown boat.

Thousands of supporters followed Lisa's Facebook page.

"She rallied 70,000 people to my cause, she was a stranger to me. Today was the first time I met her and it really reaffirms my belief that there are an awful lot of good people in this world," Murphy said.

Tuesday, Murphy finally got to show his appreciation. He gave Lisa several gifts.

Murphy resigned from the State Police after he was re-assigned to a midnight shift in Athol.
