Former PawSox Skipper Gary DiSarcina Named 2013 Minor League Manager Of The Year
BOSTON (CBS) - Former Pawtucket Red Sox manager Gary DiSarcina has been selected as Baseball America's 2013 Minor League Manager of the Year.
DiSarcina, a Billerica, MA native, led the PawSox to a 80-63 record and the International League North Division title in his only season as manager, falling to the Durham Bulls 3-1 in the Governors' Cup Finals.

DiSarcina used 64 different players (30 position players and 34 pitchers), and saw Pawtucket promote 23 different players to Boston over the course of the season.
The skipper will not be back with Pawtucket in 2014, as he was hired by the Los Angeles Angels following the season to be their new third base coach.

DiSarcina spent his entire 12-year MLB career with the Angels from 1989-2000, and was an All-Star in 1995.
