Former NH Youth Football Coach Cleared In First Of Two Child Sex Assault Trials
LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) — A jury has cleared a former youth football coach in New Hampshire of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl during sleepovers at his home.
Forty-two-year-old Timothy Longua of Londonderry was found not guilty Friday of aggravated felonious sexual assault and one count of felonious sexual assault. Those charges involved the 11-year-old girl.
He still faces sexual assault charges involving a 12-year-old girl. A trial is scheduled to begin April 14 on those charges.
The girls told police he fondled them during sleepovers. Longua has denied the charges.
Longua was a coach of a boys' third- and fourth-grade football team.
