Flood Watch In Effect Through Monday Morning
BOSTON (CBS) - A flood watch is in effect for the entire area through Monday morning, as we are looking at about 1-1.5" of rain in all of Central and Eastern Mass.
Much higher amounts will stay well to the west in the Berkshires and NY State, where they could receive well over 2" of rainfall.

Right now, it would take about 2-3" of rain in about 6 hours for a serious flood situation (with rivers, etc.). This does not look likely with tonight's event.
Rain will be somewhat scattered through the afternoon, and begin to make eastward progress late afternoon and this evening. Steady and heavy rain is expected at times from about 7 p.m. through 7 a.m., then tapering off Monday morning.
Watch Joy Joyce's Forecast:
This will be enough rain for localized, poor drainage and street flooding to occur, which will likely have some effect on the morning commute.
We dry out during Monday and the sun returns both Tuesday and Wednesday, before another rain event on Thursday-Friday.
