Five People Charged Over Swansea School Vandalism
SWANSEA (CBS) - Five people have been arrested and face felony charges for vandalizing a school in Swansea, according to WPRI-TV.
Police say the suspects padlocked some of the doors shut at Case High School in Swansea.
They also toilet papered the trees around the school and stuck plastic utensils in the ground that spelled out the name of the neighboring town of Somerset.
The mischief was reportedly intended to be a prank, but ended with criminal charges.
William Boulay, 20; Edward Cellemme II, 19; Nicolas Griffin, 17; Evan Sousa, 18; and Bruce Antone, 19, all of Swansea, are facing felony and misdemeanor charges.
Two of the suspects are students at the school.
Classes went on as scheduled Friday.
