First Snowfall At Mt. Washington Observatory
NORTH CONWAY, N.H. (CBS) --- The first sign of winter has been seen at Mount Washington Observatory.
The first snowfall of the season was recorded early Monday morning.
The observatory made the announcement on their Facebook page.
The total was just under one inch.
The snowfall also brought a thick coating of ice accumulating at a rate of two-to-three inches per hour Monday morning.
Autumn officially started Sunday afternoon.
