There are no reports of injuries or what may have caused the fire.
The roof of the church collapsed in the blaze and the church will likely need to be demolished, according to Lynn Fire.
A church member told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens they have had problems with break-ins at the church in the recent past.
