Fewer Than 5,000 Remain Without Power After Blizzard
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Fewer than 5,000 utility customers remain without power in Massachusetts following the weekend snowstorm.
NStar reported early Wednesday that 4,865 homes and businesses were without electricity and National Grid had 35 without power. More than 400,000 customers in the state lost power during the storm.
Of the 6,800 utility customers still without power across the Northeast, the majority are in Massachusetts. More than 650,000 homes and businesses in eight states were without electricity at one point.
