AG Identifies Suspect Killed In Police Shooting In Walpole, NH
WALPOLE, N.H. (CBS/AP) — New Hampshire attorney general's office has identified an armed robbery suspect killed by police in Walpole, New Hampshire on Friday.
Larry Albert Bohannon, 51, of Grafton, New Hampshire was shot and killed by officers while trying to escape after an armed robbery in Bellows Falls, Vt.
Police say Bohannon crossed into New Hampshire where officers from Walpole and Alstead stopped his vehicle.
Assistant Attorney General Janice Rundles says shots were fired after the suspect refused to get out of his vehicle and comply with officers' commands.
The medical examiner says Bohannon died from gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and abdomen.
The officers involved in the shooting were not identified.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death is ongoing.
