Fenway Park To Host 9-11 Blood Drive
BOSTON (CBS) - The families of several local 9-11 victims will be at Fenway Park Tuesday to take part in a blood drive as part of the National Day of Remembrance.

More than 1,000 people showed up at last year's event.
The Red Coss says it's a way to honor the people who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks and to also help save others.
For every unit of blood donated, three lives can be saved.
After recent natural disasters, the national blood supply is now at a 15-year low.
"The need is significantly greater in the summer because there's a lot of accidents in the summer. It's crucial that we keep the blood supply robust. So many lives are depending on it," Red Cross President and CEO Gail McGovern told WBZ-TV.
Fenway will be open from 6 a.m. until noon Tuesday for the blood drive.
