Felger & Mazz: Welker Still The Key To Patriots Offense

On the heels of the Patriots giving extensions to Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, should the team step up and sign the veteran wide receiver to an extension? Has Welker misplayed his hand by not holding out during the preseason and training camp?
"Here's why I think it's still an issue: Without him in that lineup on Friday ... to me Wes Welker is still the key guy on that offense next to Tom Brady," Felger said. "To me that is still the heart and soul of that offense. Are we confident that Brady has that thing with Brandon Lloyd right now?"
