Felger & Mazz: September 24, 2013
BOSTON (CBS) - Felger and Massarotti opened the day discussing last night's Monday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders. The Broncos beat the Raiders 37-21 in Denver. Are the Broncos becoming the same style of team the Colts were when Peyton Manning was in Indianapolis? When it comes to the New England Patriots, is having good balance the best game plan?
Hour 1
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continue to discuss the New England Patriots and the importance of being a balanced team. Billy Lanni steps up in the absence of Jermaine Wiggins and does "10 Questions..." with Felger and Massarotti. To wrap up the hour, Marc Bertrand vented about studio maintainance and Mazz wanted to discuss Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson's arm injury.
Hour 2
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys switched gears from football to talk some Boston Red Sox and the approaching playoffs. What is the current strength of the Red Sox that you worry about them upholding up in the playoffs? What is the current strength that you should have the most confidence in? The guys went on to discuss the MLB playoff format. Is the one-game playoff to see which Wild Card team advances a good thing for baseball? Finally, the callers get to ask Billy Lanni some questions.
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz continued to field questions about the Patriots and the Red Sox. Have the Denver Broncos become the new Indianapolis Colts? Also, the guys discussed Toronto Maple Leafs forward Phil Kessel's suspension for swinging his stick at the Buffalo Sabres John Scott. Kessel will be suspended for the remainder of the preseason. To end the day, we hear the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
