Felger & Mazz: September 16, 2013
Hour 1
Felger and Massarotti kicked off the week discussing the New England Patriots and the rest of the AFC. After watching Week 2's AFC games, did we learn anything about the Patriots chances in the AFC? Mike and Tony went to talk about Pats receiver Danny Amendola. Amendola missed Week 2's game against the New York Jets. There is no set timetable on when Amendola will return. How will Amendola's absence affect the offense? Finally, Billy Lanni joined Felger and Massarotti to discuss Saturday night's Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight against Canelo Alvarez.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz talked about the Boston Red Sox, the weekend sweep of the New York Yankees, and their record this season. Are the Red Sox as good as their record says? The Sox have the best record in baseball. Does the best team always win the World Series? To wrap up Hour 2 of Felger and Massarotti, we hear Squeaky Beetle go off on a caller from last Friday's show.
Hour 2
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys quickly discussed Saturday's Alabama vs. Texas A&M game. Is Johnny Manziel the real deal? Getting back to the Patriots, can the offense survive without Danny Amendola? Three quarterbacks threw for over 400-yards in Week 2, is there too much offence in the NFL? Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco decided to play in Sunday's game instead of being at the hospital for the birth of his second child. Should Flacco be given grief for playing in Sunday's game?
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz took calls on the Patriots and Danny Amendola's injury. They also took calls on the Red Sox. The Sox have the best record in baseball, but does being the best team guarantee a World Series? Finally, we hear from Squeaky Beetle again in the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
