In an abbreviated edition of the Felger and Massarotti Show, Mike and Tony preview tonight's New England Patriots home opener against the New York Jets. Is tonight the game that the defense steps up and wins it for the Pats?
The guys also discussed the Boston Red Sox 10-3 extra inning win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The win was capped off by an extra inning pinch hit grand slam from Mike Carp. The Sox now have a 9.5 game lead over the Rays in the American League East.

The guys continued to preview tonight's Patriots home opener against the Jets. The also continued to talk about the Red Sox and the run of success they have had as the season winds down and they prepare for the post season. They also looked ahead to the offseason and wondered what guys you bring back for next year. Are the calls made based on where this team finishes this season? Do you need to work on the bullpen?
