Felger & Mazz On: LeBron's 1 Hour Special

When most teams sign a player, they will hold a press conference to make the announcement. Unless of course that player is the one and only LeBron James. He will have his own 1 hour special on ESPN Thursday night at 9 o'clock to announce his decision on where he will sign. Really? Felger and Mazz weigh in on the issue.

Felger: "LeBron is just a manifestation of a league that is all about the individual. That's all about the player. That's all about the flash. That's why the league sucks. But the NBA is thrilled with it! David Stern's looking at this and saying 'I have my new model. We'll do this next year, and next year, and the year after that'. He loves it. Are you kidding me? It's the league. He's just a representative of what that league stands for. LeBron James is called the King and he's never won squat. He's the biggest ever? Why? Because he's got a cute puppet commercial. Who do you blame? The league that encourages it? Or the player?"

Massarotti: "What is this the Bachelor? Is that what this is? LeBron tells you who he's marrying tomorrow night at 9 o' clock? Seriously. Why don't we just have a press conference like everyone else has done for the last 50 years? Why does it have to be his own made for tv special? That's the part of it that I don't like. His gripe his whole career has been 'I don't have enough help'. And yet it comes down to this decision where he has all the power and he's separating himself from the group. He's the biggest hypocrite of all time."
