Felger & Mazz: October 29, 2013
Hour 1
Felger and Massarotti kicked off Tuesday discussing the Boston Red Sox and last night's 3-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the World Series. The Sox now have a 3-2 lead with the Series returning to Fenway Park tomorrow night. Why do the Cardinals continue to pitch to David Ortiz? Should David Ross continue to start over Jarrod Saltalamacchia? How important was Stephen Drew's walk in the 7th inning? Finally, Billy Lanni joined the guys to talk about the National League brand of baseball.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz compare the American League-style of play to the National League-style. Does the decision-making in the National League make things more interesting? Mike and Tony went on to discuss the future of instant replay in baseball. Is the expansion of instant replay good for baseball? The NFL trade deadline is at 4pm today. The Patriots made a move today. They are sending a 5th round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga and a 6th-round pick.
Hour 2
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys discuss some of the decision-making the Red Sox will face with the World Series returning to Boston. John Lackey will be taking the mound tomorrow night for Game 6. Does David Ross continue to start behind the plate? Lackey pitched poorly in Game 2 of the ALDS when Ross was behind the plate. What can the Cardinals do to make David Ortiz feel uncomfortable at the plate? Finally, Felger has a problem with FOX's presentation. The Pearl Jam music isn't loud enough for Felger.
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz continue to preview Game 6 of the World Series. If John Lackey struggles tomorrow night, how will Farrell use his bullpen? Is Game 6 a must-win for the Sox? If a Sox fan would like to go to Fenway to watch Game 6, how much is it going to cost them? Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
