It's an Agenda Free Friday on the Felger and Massarotti Show! To open the day, Felger and Mazz previewed the start of the American League Championship between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers. The status of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is still on everyone's mind. Will Gronk finally be back on the field this Sunday when the Patriots welcome the New Orleans Saints to Gillette Stadium? Does Gronkowski trust the team doctors? Jerry Thornton of Barstool Sports joined Mike and Tony to preview Sunday afternoon's Saints-Patriots game. To wrap up the hour, Felger and Mazz discuss the Oakland Athletics and their playoff struggles.
Hour 1
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz get back into previewing the upcoming ALCS between the Tigers and the Red Sox. This will be the Tigers third straight appearance in the American League Championship. Should the Tigers worry Sox fans? Patriots radio play-by-play announcer Bob Socci joined Felger and Mazz to talk some Pats and play this week's edition of 5 Questions. Finally, Felger and Mazz bid a farewell to Magic Johnson as an ESPN studio analyst.
Hour 2
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys reset all the topics on this Agenda Free Friday. How do Sox fans feel about facing the Tigers in the ALCS? Are Pats fans concerned about the Saints this Sunday? Will Rob Gronkowski finally be back on the field this weekend? The guys take a quick Boston Bruins breather to discuss last night's 2-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche and the fight between Milan Lucic and Gabriel Landeskog. To wrap up Hour 3, Mike and Tony discuss the Red Sox starting rotation in the first 4 games of the ALCS.
