Felger & Mazz: May 6, 2013
Felger and Massarotti are broadcasting from the Ace Tickets Studio at Kenmore and are discussing the future of the Boston Celtics. Friday night, the Celtics season came to an end with their 88-80 Game 6 loss to the New York Knicks. What is going to happen to Celtics this off-season? Have Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce played their last games as member of the Celtics? Will Doc Rivers return to the C's next year? There is speculation that there may be a deal in the works that would send Pierce, KG, and Doc Rivers to the Los Angeles Clippers for Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, and Caron Butler. Is this the end of an era in Celtics history? Is it time to completely rebuild the Celtics?
Hour 1
In Hour 2 of Felger and Mazz, Felger admits that he was wrong when he thought the Celtics would be better without Rajon Rondo. Felger looks back at the start of his hatred for the C's and what he became in the last few months since Rondo's injury. How should the Celtics approach the rebuilding process? Could Dwight Howard be an option for the Celtics?
Hour 2
During Hour 3, Felger and Massarotti discussed the Boston Bruins, Saturday's 4-2 Game 2 loss, and tonight's Game 3. The puck drops at 7pm tonight from Toronto. What can we expect to see from the Bruins tonight? Has Phil Kessel outplayed Tyler Seguin in the series? On Saturday, LeBron James was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player. LeBron was one vote short of winning the award unanimously. What other players should have been in the M.V.P. talks?
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz continued to talk about the end of the Celtics season, the NHL playoffs, and the Bruins Game 3 matchup with the Maple Leafs tonight in Toronto. Felger and Massarotti take calls on all the topics covered today. This weekend the Boston Red Sox were swept by the Texas Rangers. Were the Sox exposed by the Rangers? Andrew Bailey was placed on the disabled list with a biceps injury. Should Bailey have been D.L.'d earlier? What's going on with Will Middlebrooks and Dustin Pedroia? Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
