Felger and Massarotti kicked off the day discussing the NHL Playoffs and Game 7 last night between the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks won 2-1 in overtime over the Red Wings last night. The Blackhawks will play the Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference Finals. Should there be more scoring in the playoffs? The guys also talked about the firing of New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella. What were the reasons for Tortorella's firing?
Hour 1
In Hour 2 of Felger and Mazz, the guys were joined by James Murphy of Murphy's Hockey Law and MurphysHockeyLaw.com to preview the start of the Boston Bruins series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Hour 2
During Hour 3, Felger and Massarotti changed gears for a bit and discussed the New England Patriots and Rob Gronkowski. Gronk will have a back surgery that could cause him to miss the start of the season. Last night, the Boston Red Sox lost again to the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3. The Sox still hold a one-game lead on the New York Yankees in the American League East. Former Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon has 2 saves for the Phillies in the series. How do the fans really feel about Papelbon? Has the Gyro-Ball made it's return to Major League Baseball?
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Massarotti reset and got back to the NHL Playoffs. Last night, the Blackhawks knocked off the Red Wings with a Game 7 overtime win. The Blackhawks will play the Kings in the Western Conference Finals. Also, could Felger hit off a women's college softball pitcher?
