Felger & Mazz: May 17, 2013
Felger and Massarotti kicked on an Agenda Free Friday talking about the Boston Bruins 3-2 overtime win in Game 1 over the New York Rangers. Jerry Thornton of Barstool Sports joined the guys to talk some Bruins playoffs, the Patriots, and Rob Gronkowski's forearm surgeries. Back to the Bruins game, how important was the B's power play last night?
Hour 1
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz talked a little Boston Red Sox and last night's 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Sox took 2 of 3 in Tampa Bay and head to Minnesota tonight to face the Twins in 3-game weekend series. The guys also discussed the struggles of Daniel Bard in Double-A. Is Bard becoming a lost cause? More Patriots news came down that Rob Gronkowski may need back surgery. Also, Who would win in a fight? Washington Capitals head coach Adam Oates or Rangers head coach John Tortorella?
Hour 2
Chris Gasper of the Boston Globe joined Felger and Massarotti during Hour 3 to talk about the Patriots and the latest news on Rob Gronkowski. The guys also discussed the start of the Rangers-Bruins series. Bruins lead the series 1-0 with Game 2 on Sunday afternoon.
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Gasper stuck around for an extra segment to talk some Gronk and Bruins. The look at the playoff performances of Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara. Will Chara be able to continue to carry the B's through the playoffs? Felger and Mazz take calls on the topic that were covered today. Finally, we hear from Mad Mike and Squeaky Mazz in the Friday edition of The Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
