Felger & Mazz: March 6, 2013
Felger and Massarotti opened the day introduced a few different topics. First, the guys talked about Wes Welker and whether or not he will test the open market. If Welker tests the market and signs elsewhere, who's out there that could replace him? Last night, the Boston Bruins had a tough loss against the Washington Capitals. The B's blew a 3-0 lead to go on and lose 4-3 in overtime. Felger and Mazz also previewed tonight's Boston Celtics game against the Indiana Pacers. Mazz has a new member of the Celtics in her cross-hairs. What newest member of the C's is driving Mazz nuts?
Hour 1
In Hour 2 of Felger and Mazz, the guys got into last night's Bruins 4-3 overtime loss to the Capitals. Felger received a barrage of angry emails from Bruins fans during and after last night's loss. Felger read some of these emails from the angered B's fans. Do the Bruins overvalue their 3rd and 4th lines? Later in the hour, the guys talked some Celtics. What playoff seed would give the C's the best shot of getting to the NBA Finals?
Hour 2
Felger and Massarotti got back into the discussion about Wes Welker's future in New England. Welker plans on testing the free agent market. How much will testing the market hurt Welker's chance of returning to the Pats? Are the Pats letting Welker test the market because they already have other plans if he walks? During the hour, news came down that New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira will miss 8-10 weeks due to a strained wrist. What will the injury mean to the Yankees and the AL East?
Hour 3
In the 4th and final hour, Felger and Massarotti took calls on everything they covered today. What is the Patriots plan if Wes Welker signs elsewhere? Do Welker's big drops in big games make it easier for fans to disconnect from the receiver? On the Bruins, the guys talked about mixing up the lines. What can the Bruins do to get things moving in the right direction? The Celtics have a big game tonight against the Pacers in Indiana. How tough of a matchup are the Pacers for the C's? Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
