Felger & Mazz: June 7, 2013
Hour 1
Felger and Massarotti kicked off Friday's show breaking down the team's upcoming Game 4 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. If the Bruins complete the sweep tonight, would it be a more impressive series win than seven-game victory over the Vancouver Canucks in 2011? The guys also discussed the decision to put Kaspar Daugvins on the fourth line in place of the injured Gregory Campbell. Jerry Thornton from Barstool Sports also joined the show in the final part of the hour to talk Bruins and Bill Belichick's rank out of all-time best NFL coaches.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz discussed whether the Bruins have the series safely wrapped up against Pittsburgh or if Boston fans should still worry about the Penguins' comeback prospects. They also took a bit of a Bruins' breather to discuss a Red Sox walk-off win last night and whether the Sox should keep Will Middlebrooks in the minors for the time being. Finally, Marc Bertrand gave an update on the Doc Rivers watch.
Hour 2
In Hour 3, Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com joins Felger and Mazz in studio, as the show returns to discussing Bruins-Penguins in Game 4. Mazz and Joe debate how long they expect the rest of the series to last. Haggerty also addressed the future prospects of Nathan Horton and Tuukka Rask with the Bruins, as both players are impending free agents this season. Finally, Felger and Mazz take a walk down memory lane to discuss the Prince of Wales trophy.
Hour 3
In the final hour, Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe joined Felger and Mazz to break down the series. Will the Penguins show up tonight? And just how suprising has the Bruins' performance of shutting down Pittsburgh's offensive weapons been this series? Finally, the show closes out with some Mad Mike and Squeaky Mazz during The Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
