Felger & Mazz: July 1, 2013
Hour 1
Felger and Massarotti kicked off the week discussing a couple of trade rumors from over the weekend. The first rumor surrounded the Boston Bruins and Tyler Seguin. Can the Bruins be serious about trading Seguin? Is the Bruins front office just trying to wake Seguin up? Also, Rajon Rondo's name came up in trade rumors. Reports are saying the Dallas Mavericks have expressed interest in the Boston Celtics point guard. Have the Celtics put Rondo on the trading block?
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz talked about the Boston Red Sox and the hot start to their season. With yesterday's win, the Sox became the first American League team to 50 wins. Does being the first team with 50 wins mean anything? How important has the good start been for the Sox? Over the weekend, it was reported that the Red Sox may have interest in Philadelphia Phillies veteran infielder Michael Young. Do the Sox need an infielder or should they address the pitching at the trade deadline?
Hour 2
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys talked about the Bruins and Nathan Horton's future with Boston. Does Horton want to play somewhere else? If so, why wouldn't Horton want to stay in Boston? The Tampa Bay Lightning have bought out the remainder of the contract for Vincent Lecavalier. Would the Bruins be interested in a player like Lecavalier? It's also being reported that former Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas is ready to make a return to the NHL. What are some of the potential landing spots for Thomas?
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz continue to discuss the Boston Celtics and their rebuilding process. Should the Celtics be looking to trade Rajon Rondo? The guys also talked about the Boston Red Sox and how they've performed in the first half of the season. Can the Sox be a World Series contender without making any major roster moves? Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
