Felger & Mazz: January 7, 2014
Felger and Massarotti were joined by Jermaine Wiggins and the guys opened the day previewing Saturday night's Divisional game between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots. How do the Colts matchup with the Patriots? Would the Cincinnati Bengals have been an easier road to the AFC Championship for the Patriots? The guys go on to discuss the refereeing crew for the Colts-Pats game. Will these refs allow physical play? Could Deion Branch have an impact on Saturday night's game? Finally, we replay Squeaky Mazz from yesterday's Final Word. Squeaky Mazz isn't a fan of Cincinnati.
Hour 1
In Hour 2 of Felger and Mazz, the guys discuss the penalty calls in the playoffs. It appears that the refs aren't throwing flags nearly as much as they did in the regular season. Do fans prefer the refs keeping the flags in their pockets during the playoffs? Next, it was time for 10 Questions with Wiggy. Before wrapping up the hour by letting the listeners ask Wiggy some questions, Felger and Massarotti take some calls on the Colts-Pats game.
Hour 2
During Hour 3, Felger and Massarotti change gears from football to talk some Boston Celtics. The Celtics finalized a deal that will send Courtney Lee to the Memphis Grizzlies for Jerryd Bayless. Does moving Lee mean that "Tankapalooza" is back on? Mike and Tony go on to break down the USA and Canada's Olympic hockey rosters. Will a lack of offense hurt Team USA in the Olympic tournament? Felger and Mazz got back into the Pats by discussing the latest article by Dan Shaughnessy. How big of a threat are the Colts to the Pats?
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz continue to preview Colts-Pats. Will the absence of Brandon Spikes hurt the Patriots? Are fans happy that the penalty calls are down in the playoffs? Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
