Felger & Mazz: January 2, 2014
The entire Felger & Mazz gang was back in action on Thursday after a holiday respite.
Hour 1:
January 2, 2014 Hour 1
The guys opened the show by taking a look at the Patriots and the rest of the playoff field in the AFC. Do the Patriots stack up well against the competition? Did the Pats' impressive win on Sunday over the Bills change their opinion of the team's rank in the AFC? And did New England really have many quality wins in their schedule this year? The guys break it down.
Hour 2:
January 2, 2014 Hour 2
In hour two of Felger and Mazz, the guys take a closer look at the Browns' head coach opening and the team's interest in Pats offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Would it be a good career move for McDaniels to go to Cleveland or is he better off sticking in New England for the time being? They also discuss Bill O'Brien's decision to jump to the Houston Texans head coaching job from Penn State.
Hour 3:
January 2, 2014 Hour 3
In hour three of Felger and Mazz, the guys shift their focus over to hockey. They dive into yesterday's Winter Classic game and also take a closer look at HBO's 24/7 series focusing on the classic. Bruins president Cam Neely joins the show in the middle of the hour to talk about the Bruins' loss of defenseman Dennis Seidenberg, trying to replace him on the Boston blue-line and the US Olympic roster. Felger and Mazz turn their focus back to the Patriots in the final part of the hour.
Hour 4:
January 2, 2014 Hour 4
In the fourth and final hour of Felger and Mazz, the guys turn their attention back to football. They look again at the Josh McDaniels situation and whether he would want to move away from a great situation in New England and bring his family back home to Cleveland. They also look at past Belichick assistant coaches and what kind of success they had after they moved on from New England.
