Felger & Mazz: Former NHL Referee Kerry Fraser On Officiating Playoffs & Coach Interactions
Former NHL referee and current analyst for TSN, Kerry Fraser joined Felger & Massarotti to discuss the Bruins and tonight's Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Fraser's last Game 7 was in 2004 when the Tampa Bay Lightning won the Cup against the Calgary Flames. Before that, he worked Game 7 in Colorado, in 2001, when the Avalanche beat the New Jersey Devils and Ray Bourque won his only Cup.
How will the calls change from Game 6 to Game 7? How much can coaches influence a referees perception of the game? Have the refs had bias towards Lightning coach Guy Boucher?
Do make-up calls exist? With tonight being Game 7, will the refs keep the whistles in their pockets?
Finally, Kerry shares a Harry Sinden story with the guys.
Every game of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Bruins and Lightning can be heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub with pregame coverage beginning 60 minutes before each game with the Dunkin Donuts Bruins Pregame show.
