Felger & Mazz: Fenway Park Turns 100
On the eve of the 100th anniversary celebration of Fenway Park, Felger and Massarotti discuss the planned ceremony and also ask whether Fenway should still be the home of the Red Sox.
Mazz sill thinks it should be, because "its unique - all these [other stadiums], a lot of them, are the same. They're all built the same way now."
Felger questions the wisdom of the celebration and the hoopla surrounding it, comparing the celebration to a cocktail or a wedding, with bickering over the invitations and the planning of the event.
It is, according to Felger, "another thing that has nothing to do with the actual game...it is just one thing on top of the next."
Felger and Mazz then turned to the current incarnation of the Red Sox under Bobby Valentine. According to Mazz, "This thing is a train wreck." What has led to the team's dismal start? Of Valentine, Mazz says, "he doesn't look like he can manage a game."
Has Valentine 'lost it'? Felger and Mazz discussed the possibility. Should Red Sox fans be worried?
What about the possibility of Valentine stepping down during the season? One caller asks this, and Felger and Mazz end the segment by giving their opinion.
