Felger & Mazz: February 4, 2014
Felger and Massarotti were joined by Jermaine Wiggins and the guys opened the day breaking down Super Bowl XLVIII. Were the Denver Broncos mentally out of it once their opening play was botched for a Seattle safety? How will this Super Bowl loss affect Peyton Manning's legacy? Finally, the guys look back at the New England Patriots Super Bowl win over the St. Louis Rams, which was 12-years ago today.
Hour 1
In Hour 2 of Felger and Mazz, the guys and Jermaine Wiggins discuss the importance of defense in the NFL. Do the Patriots need a hard-hitting secondary? The guys go on to play this week's edition of "10 Questions with Wiggy." Before letting the callers ask Wiggy questions, the guys talked about the Patriots off-season and the future of Aqib Talib.
Hour 2
During Hour 3, Felger and Massarotti changed gears from the Super Bowl to talk some Boston Celtics and Rajon Rondo. With the NBA Trade Deadline just a couple weeks away, will the C's be looking to shop Rondo? What is Rondo's value on the open market? Also for the first time since the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, Roberto Luongo of the Vancouver Canucks returns to the Garden to play the Boston Bruins. With the Canucks coming to town, that also means new head coach, John Tortorella will be in the Garden tonight as well.
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz discuss the potential of Gillette Stadium hosting a Super Bowl. Could Gillette and Foxboro handle the mayhem that comes along with hosting the Super Bowl? Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
