Felger & Mazz: December 5, 2013
Felger and Massarotti kicked off the day continuing to discuss Jacoby Ellsbury's signing with the New York Yankees and the off-season of the Boston Red Sox. Tony Mazz opened the show fired up about the coverage of Ellsbury's decision to sign with the Yankees. Has everyone gone soft on the Red Sox? Trenni Kusnierek of Comcast SportsNet New England joined Felger and Mazz to defend the female sports fans.
Hour 1
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz talked about New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard's court sentencing this afternoon. Dennard was sentenced to 60 days in prison which will begin in March. Mike and Tony got back into the Ellsbury discussion. Did the Red Sox cheap out on Ellsbury? A lot of people believe that Jacoby Ellsbury has the athleticism of a decathlete. So Felger and Mazz go through the events of a decathlon and try to figure out how good Ellsbury would really be.
Hour 2
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys discussed the Boston Bruins and tonight's game against the Canadiens in Montreal. Also, the New York Rangers signed Henrik Lundqvist to a seven-year contract extension worth $59.5 million. How does Lundqvist's contract compared to Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask's? Entering tonight's game, the Canadien are tied for second in the NHL in team fighting majors. Are the Canadiens trying to toughen up? Boston Bruins President Cam Neely joined Felger and Mazz to talk some Bruins and tonight's game against the Canadiens.
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz got back into Jacoby Ellsbury's decision to sign with the New York Yankees. Also, Mike and Tony talk about tonight's Bruins-Canadiens game. Are the Canadiens trying to toughen up their image? To wrap things up, we hear the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
