Felger & Mazz: Cam Neely On The Bruins Closing Out Games, Horton, And Guy Boucher
Boston Bruins President Cam Neely joined Felger & Massarotti to discuss the Bruins and their 3-2 Eastern Conference series lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
How is everyone feeling in Bruins Nation today? What did the Bruins show us last night? Did the team feel the pressure from Tim Thomas' comments?
Was there any spill over from Game 4 into Game 5? Was Game 4 a blown opportunity?
How have the Bruins evolved into a team that can close games out, and does Cam feel confident the Bruins can close it out Wednesday night?
"I do because I think, as I've said throughout this whole playoffs, the learning experience that our players have had over the last few years, you can tell that they've grown from it, and learned from it and grown from it," said Neely. "They realize the fourth win is the toughest win."
This has been Bruins forward Nathan Horton's first appearance in the NHL playoffs, how has he surprised people?
"I'm really impressed with his play in the postseason," Neely said of Horton. "Here's a guy that's never been in the playoffs and he's been one of our top performers throughout the whole playoffs."
"He's played with a lot of energy, he gets physical and he's gets bit goals for us," he said. "He's been fantastic."
What are Cam's thoughts on Lightning coach Guy Boucher and Lightning forward Steve Downie?
What's the energy level like around the Garden?
