Felger & Mazz: April 24, 2013
Felger and Massarotti are broadcasting from the Ace Ticket Studio at Kenmore and discussing the rough night for Boston sports teams. The Boston Red Sox were blown out 13-0 by the Oakland A's. The Boston Bruins lost 5-2 to the Philadelphia Flyers. Finally, the Boston Celtics dropped Game 2 to the New York Knicks 87-71.
Hour 1
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz discuss the upcoming NFL Draft. The New England Patriots have the 29th in the first round. What will the Pats be looking for? Felger and Mazz, once again, did their Mock Draft by throwing highlighters at a big board. Felger and Mazz look back the 2010 NFL Draft and do a first round re-draft of the Top 5 picks. Last night the Sox were shutout by the A's. Have the Red Sox come to the end of the road with Alfredo Aceves? It was an awful night for Boston sports last night, who was watching what?
Hour 2
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti. the guys went back to yesterday's topic for a little bit. Which team has a better chance of advancing in their respective playoffs? The Boston Celtics or the Boston Bruins? If both teams struggle in the playoffs, what big-picture moves do the B's and C's need to make? Also, Mike Francesa goes off on Twitter again.
Hour 3
In the fourth and final hour of Felger and Massarotti, the guys took calls on all the topics covered today. What are the Bruins chances in the playoffs? Can the Celtics come back from a 2-0 hole against the Knicks? Today, the Sports Hub announced that veteran sportscaster and play-by-play broadcaster Bob Socci has been named the radio play-by-play announcer for the New England Patriots. Socci replaces Gil Santos and will join Scott Zolak in the booth next season. Also, it's The Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
