FBI Seeks 'Brim Beanie Bandit' For Boston-Area Bank Robberies
BOSTON (CBS) - The FBI is trying to identify a serial bank robber dubbed "The Brim Beanie Bandit."
The suspect is believed to have robbed four banks in the past two weeks.
He's also suspected in the attempted robbery of a Bank of America on Gallivan Boulevard in Dorchester.
The four robberies happened on:
12/10 around 11:25 a.m.: TD Bank, 516 Adams Street, Quincy;
12/13 around 10:40 a.m.: South Shore Bank, 1538 Turnpike Street, Stoughton;
12/19 around 11:37 a.m.: TD Bank, 95 Highland Avenue, Needham;
12/23 around 3:00 p.m.: Braintree Cooperative Bank, 1010 Washington Street, Braintree.
The suspect is white, believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s and is approximately 5'7" tall and 150 pounds.
During each robbery, he has worn a dark sweatshirt or jacket, black pants, black gloves, and dark brown or black boots/shoes along with a black and/or grey brim beanie cap.
He's considered armed and dangerous.
The FBI says it is offering a reward in the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact authorities.
