FBI: Pipe Bomb Bandit Arrested In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) – The so-called "pipe bomb bandit" was arrested Wednesday morning in Boston, according to the FBI.
Men working near the TD Garden captured video showing FBI agents and police arresting two men.
"It looked like were watching 'The Town: Part 2,'" said one of the workers. "We weren't sure if what we were seeing was real or a movie set."
WBZ-TV's Jim Armstrong reports.
Investigators believe at least one of suspects is responsible for two bank robberies robberies in Winthrop and Everett last week. In both cases, the robber threatened to blow up the banks with a pipe bomb.
In the Winthrop robbery March 4, a man showed the Bank of America teller a device that appeared to be a pipe bomb, took the money and left.
The day before, the man robbed an East Boston Savings Bank in Everett with a fake pipe bomb which he left behind.

No one was hurt in either incident.
While the eyewitness video clearly shows two men being arrested, the FBI is only confirming that one man was taken into custody.
