Fast Food Workers Hold One-Day Strike
BOSTON (CBS) --- Fast-food workers across the country walked off the job on Thursday.
It's all in an effort to raise their pay from $9.30 per-hour on average, to $15.
Workers across the nation have walked out, and staged protests over the last year but Thursday, another strike was planned in 100 cities including Boston.

Workers from McDonalds, Wendy's and Burger King are taking part.
A rally held at noon at the Burger King in Dorchester saw about a hundred demonstrators show up. Community leaders and elected officials attended.
Eduardo Shoy of New York lost his job a few years ago. With two kids heading to college, he now works at Kentucky Fried Chicken earning $7.25 an hour.
He works a second night job and had to move his family to another state to make ends meet.
"I can't do none of the things I used to do. Pay my mortgage, my car payment, sacrifice a lot of stuff," he told WBZ-TV.
Shoy is just one of millions of workers protesting the pay scale at fast food restaurants around the country.
This action is part of a national movement where workers will go on strike in every region of the United States, and will be joined by supporters rallying in an additional 100 cities, as the fight for $15 an hour and the right to form a union without retaliation continues to grow.
