Fantasy Football Top 10: Week 13
BOSTON (CBS) – Each week 98.5 The Sports Hub's Nick Cattles will bring you 10 things he noticed from the week in Fantasy Football, and how it will all help your team.
10) Reggie, A Legit #2 – Laugh if you want, but Reggie Bush has become a legit #2 RB in P-P-R Leagues over the past four weeks. Bush is now getting the majority of the carries over Daniel Thomas and will continue to get targets out of the backfield, even if Thomas creeps back in to the picture.
9) The Torrey Smith Rollercoaster – Just when you start feeling confident in Ravens wideout Torrey Smith, he poops himself. It's not that you're wrong in playing Smith, it's just that you haven't picked the right times. Smith will frustrate you if you count on him to be a weekly beast. Pick your spots carefully.

8) Ryan & White Start to Get it Going – Don't look now, but Matt Ryan and Roddy White are both starting to get their feet firmly planted underneath themselves. White has put together two great consecutive outings, while Ryan finally looks comfortable and should be considered a top 5-8 QB for the remainder of the season (However, be aware of that Houston match up this week).
7) Percy Proves Worth – He might not get nearly the majority of the snaps in Minnesota. He might always be on the injury report. But, one other thing is certain about Percy Harvin – the man is a playmaker. Head Coach Leslie Frazier has finally started to realize that. Harvin has made major noise over the last two weeks and you can expect that to continue, as he joins Adrian Peterson as the most dangerous weapons on the Vikings offense.
6) Learned Lesson – So, AJ Green was coming back from an injury. He was scheduled to play in overcast/rainy weather. And, the rookie receiver was set to play against one of the best young corners in the league, Joe Haden, and the Cleveland Browns' #1 pass defense. This all resulted in this fantasy owner sitting him on Sunday. Well, 110 yards later, it's obvious that was a mistake. AJ Green is a freak. Don't worry about matchups, he'll get the better of them most of the time.
5) Houston, We Now Have A Problem – OK, Matt Leinart, maybe we could live with. But, TJ Yates? Yeesh. The quarterback situation in Houston will no doubt affect other Texans' value. Andre Johnson? He went for two catches and 22 yards his first game back. The Texans, one of the best rushing teams in the league, managed only 88 yards on Sunday. Now some of this has to do with a pretty decent Jacksonville Jaguars Defense, but you can still expect lower offensive output going forward.

4) The Reemergence of Keller? - Maybe Mark Sanchez realized it's not the worst idea in the world to throw the ball a little more to his talented TE Dustin Keller. Keller started the year impressively, but then fell into a funk, equaling hardly any production over several weeks. Now, Keller shows up against Buffalo for 4 catches, 61 yards and two touchdowns. Tread slowly though, this was more likely due to a sexy match up than it did Sanchez' desire to throw to Keller.
3) Oh, There's Mike Williams – Were you wondering where Mike Williams (of Tampa Bay) had been? After a standout rookie campaign, Williams had a single touchdown this year through Week 10. Now, he has two in his last two games. Yes, Williams is now a safe play as a #2 WR on your fantasy roster, especially if Tampa has a nice match up.
2) A New Outlook on Tebow – This writer/host has spent a majority of time criticizing the QB play of Tim Tebow since he was named the Broncos starter. However, I've turned over a new leaf. No, Tebow's not a good NFL QB. Nor will he be a starter in the league for much longer than a year or two. But what he is is an above average running back who is worth a start in fantasy leagues because he runs the ball 20 times per game. He'll get you points, even more so against mediocre run defenses.
1) What Happened to the Steel City Run Game? – The Steelers have always been known for two things; their defense and run game. Well, the defense still looks good enough, but as for the run game? Not so much. Pittsburgh has straight up struggled to run the ball consistently, no matter who is on their schedule. Case in point was this past Sunday versus a weak Kansas City Defense, when Rashard Mendenhall finished with 57 yards on 17 attempts (3.4 average). Pittsburgh is now a passing team…didn't think you'd ever see it, eh?
