Fans Celebrate World Series Win At Boston Marathon Finish Line
BOSTON (CBS) – Just minutes after the Red Sox won the 2013 World Series at Fenway Park, hundreds of people went to Boylston Street to the Boston Marathon finish line, to remember what happened there six months ago.

Three people were killed and more than 260 wounded when two bombs went off.

Fans Celebrate At Marathon Finish Line
Fans stopped traffic and chanted "Boston Strong!" in the middle of the street early Thursday morning as a tribute not only to the Red Sox, but to the victims as well.

Some wanted to talk about how the Red Sox helped the city come full circle since that day.
"The team stood up," one man told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "They've overcome what everybody said would be a crappy team. You know what? These guys are the stand up guys."
"I go back to our players understanding their place in this city. For lack of a better way to describe it, they get it. I think a civil responsibility that we have wearing this uniform, particularly here in Boston," Red Sox manager John Farrell said after the game.

"I think the city loves us and we love the city," catcher David Ross told reporters after the game.
It did get dangerous for a few moments on Boylston Street. Crowds jumped on cars and even flipped one onto its roof.
Nine people were arrested, but there were no reports of any serious injuries.
