School Bus Catches Fire In Falmouth

FALMOUTH (CBS) - Fire, instead of rain, complicated some students' commute in Falmouth Thursday morning.

A school bus caught fire on Route 28 in Falmouth around 6:30 am.

The bus was on its way to pick up students, but none were on board at the time.

The driver managed to escape unharmed.

According to Falmouth Deputy Fire Chief Glenn Rodgers, the fire was caused by an electrical issue in the engine.

The engine suffered significant fire damage and the interior of the bus suffered smoke and water damage.
