A few showers will linger on the cold front that will head offshore by noon.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

At that point, skies will be to gradually clear and winds will shift to the west-northwest.  Winds will be gustier this evening when the process of cold air advection begins.

A clear and colder night can be expected under a waning crescent moon. Lows will drop to 25-30F.

This weekend:

It will be quiet for the most part.

Sunshine on Saturday will lead to evening and nighttime snow showers.

This may add up to a quick coating to an inch overnight into Sunday.

Sunday will be sunnier to the north and cloudier to the south as a large area of low pressure passes to our south.

There is still the slight chance of a few rain/snow showers for the South Coast/Cape/Islands depending on the exact track that occurs on Sunday.

This morning, all of the models agree that this storm will be staying south.

Highs on Saturday will be in the middle 40s while Sunday will cool down to about 40F.

Temperatures will reach the coldest point on Presidents' Day when the mercury hovers in the upper 30s.

It will be a blustery and cold day.

The 30s are short-lived though as temperatures head right back into the 40s starting on Tuesday.

Happy FRRRiday!

~Melissa :)
