The cooler temperatures will be along the coast as winds will originate from the E-NE.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

Overall, it will be a partly cloudy through the day.

An upper level, cutoff low will meander its way from the Great Lakes/Midwest late Wednesday through Thursday.

This will produce a slight chance of showers late-day Wednesday, but the best chance for rain will be Wednesday night through Thursday.

Highs for both days will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

A secondary shot of cold air works in Friday and Saturday as a sharp trough heads towards New England.

This willl induce diurnal clouds and potentially a few spot afternoon showers.

This will also bring us much cooler temperatures for the first weekend of October.

High temperatures will go from the lower to middle 70s on Friday to the 60s for the entire weekend.

Atlantic Tropical Update:

T.S. Philippe is still churning in the Atlantic, but it is eventually going to steer AWAY from the U.S..  Another cluster of storms, remnants of Ophelia, is showing potential of becoming our 17th  named storm...Rina.
